I received this Halloween Card in the mail and loved it. (Thanks, Paige!) I especially love the bird so it became a stencil by tracing it and transferring it to cardstock. I cut the stencil and went to my stash of Moleskine (pronounced mol-e-skee-na) cahiers. Those are the little, pocket-sized moleskines that come in packages of three. They come in different cover stocks: craft brown, craft black, leatherette black.
I stenciled the bird but then the booklet needed a clutch! I stenciled some fabric and voila! See below (click on the image for a larger view):

I really like the way the fabric showed through the stenciling. I am definitely making more of these for my Etsy Shop.

When a friend sent over a big bag of these cardboard and mylar coin protectors (knowing that I would put them to some creative use) my mind went into a tizzy. I searched all over the internet for uses and then, when only altered coin folders kept coming up, I knew I was on my own.
Taking three folders and creating a cube was just the beginning to creating these fun little boxy ornaments. Putting images behind the "windows" and figuring out how to cover them with paper and trimming them out with dresden foil and sprinkling with glitter is the fun part.
Cute, cute, cute. The pictures don't show the glittery bursts very well but I just love them. See for yourself:

I have several Coin Box Ornaments completed now and they are definitely going on my Little Paper Trifles site and also my Paper Trifles Etsy Shop.
